· Changes in legislation or government policy, and
· Demands for greater accountability
Standards are developed in consultation with service providers, persons served, representatives of Aboriginal communities, academics, outcome measure specialists and community members.
The process includes:
· Experts and stakeholders in areas of interest are recruited;
· Draft Standards are developed and distributed for feedback;
· Feedback from communities, organizations and individuals are incorporated;
· Standards are re-worked and re-circulated for final input;
· Indicators are added and tools created.
Standards are constantly evolving in a world that is ever changing.
