THE REASONS TO CHOOSE CAC

Choosing the organization you would like to use for your accreditation can seem like a difficult task with so many accrediting bodies available for your use. At CAC we believe in the work that we do and the Standards that we use, and we believe that we have the most to offer you. There are many reasons to choose CAC, and we would like to share them with you to help make your decision easier.

OUR HISTORY

CAC has a 36 year history of working with organizations in the Human Services sector of all variety and sizes. We have worked successfully with large and small organizations, not-for-profit and private enterprises. We understand that the needs of organizations vary depending on the way they operate, and with our background with a wide array of different organizations, we have developed a good sense of what each organization needs in order to succeed.
CAC is also a completely Canadian-Based company and always has been. CAC has always been proud to serve organizations and programs in the country in which we originated. We have never been shy to share information about our grass-roots history and we continue to grow, improve and remain current with the research in the sector. Our Standards and Processes have been created and revised with the invaluable contributions of people who are working in the programs that we are accrediting so that we can offer the best Standards possible to everyone who will be affected by them.

VALUE ADDED BENEFITS

The process of Accreditation can be a daunting task, especially if you have never undergone the process before. At CAC, we understand that in order to succeed you need to have access to both documents to help with the process as well as people to help you along the way. It's for these reasons that we have included a multitude of benefits, many of which are unique to CAC.

From our Free Half Day Session with every organization that uses CAC to the Pre-Site Evaluation that is unique to us, we offer a wide variety of Value Added Benefits to the organizations that pursue their accreditation through us. We are always available to answer your questions and help in any way we can and your dedicated CORE Support personnel will be able to help you with every step of the process. We want to provide as much support to your organization as possible as well as value for your money so we will do everything we can to help you achieve excellence.

ABORIGINAL INVOLVEMENT

CAC is committed to working in collaboration with people from aboriginal communities to enhance programming through the process of accreditation. Standards supporting the integration of core values into programming as well as how the importance of culture is expressed through service delivery are extremely important ways in which we try to meet the needs the organizations undergoing accreditation. CAC is the only accrediting body that integrates cultural experiences into the evaluative process, supporting a holistic approach in the way that services are delivered to all children, youth, adults and families.

Our aboriginal collaboration does not end with the Standards that have been created. We welcome and encourage aboriginal involvement at every level of our organization, including our Peer Reviewers, Team Leaders, Panels, Board and Staff. For reviews of organizations choosing to have an Aboriginal Optional Designation, we ensure that we have at least one aboriginal member of the review team conducting the on-site. It is crucial for us to ensure that we understand the needs, values and the importance of culture as it relates to everyone seeking the services of the programs we accredit.

FULL DISCLOSURE

Not only is having a competitive fee structure important to us, we also endeavour to fully disclose all the information you may need to know about us and our fees. CORE SUPPORT

Our CORE Support Staff are a crucial part of our team and will be invaluable to you as you proceed through the Accreditation Process. They will be your guides and are able to answer all of your questions about your accreditation. They will help you to focus on the quality improvement and outcomes of your organization and will also be on-site in order to ensure that your review is consistent with every review that has been done. We are also extremely proud to be able to tell you that our CORE Staff as well as our CEO have also all worked in the Human Services sector, working on the accreditation of the organizations they previously worked for. By hiring professionals from the Human Services sector, we are able to provide you with someone who not only understands our process but understands what you have gone through and dealt with in your own organization.

VOLUNTEERS

The volunteers of CAC are the backbone of our process. Our volunteers come from the organizations we accredit and so they understand both our process as well as the way an organization works. Unlike contracted staff who use checklists to evaluate, our volunteers use their experiences to help view and fairly assess a program. The Review Teams reflect experiences that are similar to programs that are being accredited. This helps all of the organizations that are accredited to have the best experience possible with the most qualified volunteers.

As well, in order to give back to the organizations that have been generous enough to supply their staff for this process, we have created a compensation program. If you are interested in learning more about it, please click here.

SERVICES WE OFFER

As well as our Accreditation services, we offer a wide range of training to help you prepare for your accreditation. We have recently improved many of our classes, and we believe that they are extremely helpful for everyone wishing to participate in them. If you would like to find out more about them, please click here. We also offer gap analysis to help organizations who would like more direction as well as a sample documents package to help organizations who are new in the creation of their file documents. These services are optional, but can be exceptionally helpful for any organization that chooses to utilize them.

MEMBERSHIPS

Maintaining contact with the community and the Health Services sector as a whole is extremely important for us. In order to keep in touch we have been cultivating memberships with a wide range of different organizations to help us stay current in our knowledge and communication.
