in preparation for the release of our 2011 version and we
are looking to discuss these standards with Foster Care

ISQua Accreditation |

|
CAC is currently undergoing accreditation
through ISQua, The International Society for Quality in
Health Care, through their International Accreditation
Program (IAP). We will be completing the process in November
of 2011, so please keep checking back for more updates about
this exciting undertaking.

Suicide Intervention and Self-Harm Training |

We are continuing to look for new ways to
expand our Training Centre and the new way we have done that
is to begin to offer Suicide Intervention and Self-Harm
Training to any organization that may be in need of the

This training is required for accreditation but it does not
have to be taken through CAC.

Accreditation Support Network |

We are thrilled to be able to announce
that we have launched the Accreditation Support Network (ASN)
to all of our organizations! Emails have been distributed to

information to set up the initial account, so if you have

EMP First Aid Training |

|
In June we were happy to announce that we
have become a Training Centre for EMP First Aid Training,
led by our CORE Support, Deridre (Dee) Gerro, a trainer with
more than 10 years of experience. This two-day training
includes Medic First Aid, CPR, AED, and Infant First Aid
Training. It's a low stress training session that will grant
certification for 3 years. Anyone who is interested is
