EMP FIRST AID TRAINING

This spring we became a Training Centre for EMP First Aid Training, offering a certified, in-depth two-day program covering Basic First Aid, CPR and AED. Our sessions are led by Deridre (Dee) Gerro, a certified EMP instructor who has been training participants for more than 10 years.

EMP Canada also believes in employing a ‘Low stress, easy learning, seeing, hearing and doing’ approach to First Aid Training, perfect for people who have never taken first aid and also for those who have taken it in the past. This hands-on experience is complemented by video demonstrations, PowerPoint presentations and a training manual. As well, the certification is valid for 3 years and is recognized throughout Canada.

Our Training Centre is open to both organizations undergoing the accreditation process as well as the general public. Please be advised that though First Aid training is required for accreditation, you do not have to take it through the CAC. First Aid Training is for anyone who wants to learn how to save a life, including social workers, child and youth care staff, day home providers, mental health workers, family support workers, medical personnel, teachers, parents, and the list continues. The CAC is committed to anyone in the community who wants to learn in an easy, fun environment.

As well, if you live outside of Edmonton or have training space in your organization, our instructor can come out to you. We offer training outside of our facility for groups of 10 to 12.
