CONSEQUENTIAL FEES

Interest on Late Fees

Fees are invoiced with a payment due date of 30 days. Outstanding invoices of 60 days or more will be charged a 1.5%/month/outstanding amount due.

Postponement Fee

If a program wishes to postpone the on-site date with between 61 and 90 days notice, a postponement fee of $500.00 plus applicable taxes is charged to the organization. Between 31 and 60 days, a fee of $1,000.00 plus applicable taxes and between 0 and 30 days, a fee of $1,500.00 plus applicable taxes will be charged.

Package Fees

Complete pre-site packages are sent directly to all of the team members. Programs that submit pre-site materials that are not complete or poorly organized will be asked to either re-submit the materials (with enough time to have the pre-site meeting as scheduled) or have CAC do so. If CAC needs to copy and/or distribute the materials, a cost of $75/hour plus applicable taxes plus the cost of photocopying and couriering the re-worked package to each team member, will be added to the invoice for the per-diem costs.

It is an expectation that materials submitted to the Accreditation Panel are anonymous and have all identifying information removed. Having CAC staff “white-out” identifying information (i.e. program names, logos, identification on the top of faxed pages etc.) will result in an administrative fee of $75/hour added to the final invoice to the program. It is expected that the Organization courier or hand deliver these anonymous responses. Only the reference number should appear on all documentation.

2nd Pre-Site Fee

One pre-site review of policies is included in the Accreditation Fee. If the team finds that the pre-site review of policy(s) results in many standards found to be non-compliant, they may suggest that the program re-work the policy manual and re-submit it to the team for a 2nd review. It is the choice of the program to have the team review the policy a second time or address the issues at the scheduled on-site. The advantage of re-submitting the policy is that the program has more time to implement policies and adjust practice (if needed).
A second review of pre-site materials will be invoiced at the rate of $200 per team member plus applicable taxes.

Costs Associated with Appeals

A flat rate of $1,000.00 plus applicable taxes will be charged to the organization should they decide to appeal. This would cover the cost of travel, accommodation (if any) and time spent reading the material as well as time at the appeal committee meeting. If the result of an appeal is to re-review of a program the costs associated will be assumed by the organization and are the same as for a follow-up review.

Costs of Investigating Complaints
Suspension or Revoking of Accreditation

The organization will be responsible to cover all the costs resulting from the investigation of the complaint. Failure to pay costs would result in suspension of accreditation status.
