CAC OPEN HOUSE - REVIEW OF 2011 STANDARDS


 
With the recent release of the 2011 Edition of Child, Youth and Family Standards and 2011 Edition of Adult Standards, we would like to take the opportunity to introduce our Organizations, Team Leads and Reviewers to the changes that have been made as well as give individuals the chance to ask any questions and provide us with feedback about the standards.

Over the next six months we will begin hosting Open Houses in Edmonton, Red Deer, Calgary and Lethbridge with specific information for Organizations and for volunteers. The first sessions will be taking place in Edmonton at the Alberta Association of Services for Children and Families (AASCF) Training Centre in Bonnie Doon Mall.

The first half of the day will be for our Volunteers (Team Leads and Reviewers) and will cover the changes to the evaluative process as well as a focus group discussion for feedback. The second half of the day will be for Organization Representatives to orient them to the new standards as well as expand upon the changes we have made. We will also be asking for any comments or questions that the representatives may have with the new standards.

We encourage everyone who is available to come out and find out more about our new standards. The dates for the Edmonton sessions are:

The agenda for each of the days will be:

10:00am to Noon - CAC will be meeting with Team Leads and Reviewers in order to review the changes to the 2011 evaluative process and conduct focus group discussions

Noon to 1:00pm - Break for lunch (Please bring your lunch or purchase your lunch at Bonnie Doon Mall if you are staying for both sessions)

1:00pm to 3:30pm - CAC will be meeting with Organization Representatives to provide an orientation to the 2011 Edition of Child, Youth and Family Standards and 2011 Edition of  Adult Standards

If you are available for any of these dates, please feel free to come for the presentations. No registration is required for the sessions and there is no limit to the number of participants from each organization. We just ask that you arrive on time for the sessions you would like to attend.
