ACCREDITATION TEAM


The Accreditation Team is a crucial part of the Accreditation Process, and as such we take great care in assembling the team in order to provide the best individuals for the reviews. When we assemble the teams before the accreditation review, we make sure that the team reflects:
 
Experience in the field and in the accreditation process
Cultural diversity
Knowledge of the program areas

To ensure the on-going training of our reviewers, new reviewers are included in reviews as part of their training whenever possible. As well, we offer continuing training to our reviewers and team leaders, making sure they understand our most current version of the standards as well as any changes to the process that have happened. 

The Reviewers and Team Leads are also expected to have certain knowledge, experience and be able to work towards appropriate goals during the accreditation process. They are as follows:

Team Leads

Have knowledge of the application of Standards Have general understanding of the types of Standards
Have knowledge of criteria required to meet a standard through policy, procedure and practice Have general knowledge of the intent of the Standards
Have 2 or more years of front-line experience with an organization or combination of organizations Have knowledge of the specific application of Standards
Have completed Reviewer Training through CAC Be able to handle the dynamics of the team, including the strengths, experiences in home organizations, and experiences with reviews
Can consistently use the tools and standards Have 5 or more years of front-line experience or is currently in a supervisory position with an organization or combinations of organizations
    Have shadowed for 1 review as a Team Lead
    Have completed the Team Lead Training through CAC
    Can understand and interpret the findings

As well as these qualities, our teams are friendly and exceptional at what they do. They are one of the most important parts of our process and we greatly value their talents and determination to help all programs achieve excellence.
