ABOUT US

With over 30 years of experience, we have grown from an Alberta-based, non-profit organization to servicing the whole of Canada in a broad range of human service programs and we are committed to continuing our growth.

We are dedicated to Excellence in Practice, Support, Outcomes, and Service, and as such our mission is a commitment to a Peer Review Process, based on Best Practice Standards, ensuring that the programs we accredit in the human services community focus on Service Excellence. Our vision is two-fold: to be the nationally recognized benchmark for Standards Excellence and to support organizations in utilizing our accreditation process to evaluate their own policies and practices while learning and growing as part of the experience.

We believe that the Standards and the Accreditation Process should be developed in partnership . To that end, we strive to work closely with everyone our process impacts and maintain current research in both legislation and best practice. Our knowledge of the needs of the organizations and the people they serve continues to grow, and we continue to grow along with it, creating standards that are a living document in order to continually strive for excellence.

We also believe in a hands-on approach, working closely with program personnel to ensure that they are aware of the intent and meaning of the standards that we provide and are able to implement them in a way that results in a successful accreditation for their program. After all, the purpose of accreditation is to support the creation and maintenance of viable structures, processes and practices that allow organizations to offer the best possible programs and services for their clientele.
