ACCREDITATION PROCESS

Our Accreditation Process is designed to assist programs in working towards excellence in service delivery by focusing on the structure, internal processes, outcome measurements, quality assurance and implementation of best practices. We help to provide strong foundations to build upon and provide organizations with both professional and public recognition of their achievements.

 
 

TRAINING CENTER

We provide many workshops to help you with your accreditation needs.

We offer a variety of workshops, Accreditation Seminars for organizations to introduce those in the process to our Standards and method, and training for our Volunteer Positions, Reviewers and Team Leads. CALGARY HOMELESS FOUNDATION

CAC is working with the Calgary Homeless Foundation in the implementation of Calgary's 10 Year Plan to End Homelessness.

By using CAC's Accreditation Process and the Calgary Homeless Foundation's Standards, we are helping Calgary-based organizations achieve excellence in their service delivery and  strive towards the goal of ending homelessness in Calgary by 2018.

 
 

 2011 EDITION OF ADULT STANDARDS

At CAC, we are moving in exciting new directions, including the creation of Standards for Adult Programs to aid programs undergoing accreditation.

Our 2011 Edition of Adult Standards meet with our exacting level of excellence, allowing you to meet your goals in your programs, as well as offering the same high level of personal support that all of our organizations have come to expect.

Welcome to the Canadian Accreditation Council, a not-for-profit accrediting body that has been
accrediting human services programs in Alberta and Canada for more than 30 years. We would like to welcome you to our website and hope that it provides you with information about us.

CAC is pleased to announce the release of the 2011 Edition of Child, Youth and Family Standards. The standards have been changed in order to improve clarity, include current best practice research and realign the standards to improve grouping. The electronic edition of the 2011 Edition Child, Youth and Family Standards are currently available on the ASN and by email. Hard copies are also available for purchase.

The 2011 Edition of Adult Standards have also been released and mirror the structure of the 2011 Edition of Child, Youth and Family Standards. These standards include Program  Designations specific to Adult Programs. The electronic edition of the 2011 Edition of Adult Standards are currently available 
on the ASN and by email. Hard copies are also available for purchase.

If you would like more information about the changes to standards or the effective date of the standards, please read the document below. If you would like to request a hard copy of the standards, email

would like as well as the number of copies you will be trading in.

Release of the 2011 Edition of Child, Youth and Family Standards This letter will give you some background information about the changes
to the Child, Youth and Family Standards as well as information about the effective date of the standards.
 
Release of the 2011 Edition of Adult Standards This letter will give you some background information about the new Adult Standards as well as information about their similarity to the Child, Youth and Family Standards.
 
Amendments to the Standards 2012 Annually CAC releases amendments to the standards which become effective May 31, 2012. This document outlines the changes that have been made to the Standards and the Process Manual.
